Just saw advanced screening for Transformers 2
Just saw advanced screening for Transformers 2
I got my swift connections.
It was so-so. Worse than the first, in my opinion. Seemed like it dragged on and on and on.
Full disclosure: I didn't like the first one or Ironman, or pretty much any recent action movie.
P.S:

Agree with the woman thing.
I'm looking forward to Transformers, but I'm aware it's meant to be very long. Liked the first.

I'm not going to waist money on it going to the theatre to watch it. Maybe download on a boring afternoon.

Had it not been free, I wouldn't have bothered.
For a good recentish movie, check out The Brothers Bloom. Solid dramedy.
Completely unrelated, but here's Alexis Bledel

I have a crush on her eyes.
I couldn't sit through the first transformers, and I tried more than once.

Want to see that, it's from the writer/director of Brick, and I really enjoyed Brick, one of my favorites to be perfectly honest.

It's not going to change your life, but you will enjoy watching it and will be very satisfied at the end. I want to see it again.
Brick was good, as well.

Yeah it got mixed reviews, RottenTomatoes had it at like a 45% at one point, but that doesn't deter me from at least seeing the film.

I enjoyed Brick too. I took a girl I was interested in at the time though, and she hated it. Fail.
Is there lesson here? Don't take a girl to something thought-provoking?

Re: Just saw advanced screening for Transformers 2
Micheal Bay films are always crap and transformers is no exception. Bad casting, story and his sell point in movies is how many things he can blow up.
I bet he'd blow up the WTC if they hadn't been already and he get shit for it.
There was an exception...or so I thought. The Island...at first i was like whoa awesome, even had Ewan McGregor then about half way through BOOM. Explosions and the plot stumbled down hill.
Won't watch Transformers 2 or any other Micheal Bay film ever again.

Good choice. Saw it last week - it was horrible. The whole film was about seeing how much they could degrade a beloved franchise. I'm all for sex - and jokes - but come on, seriously. None of it was sexy, or funny.
The highlight of the evening was McDonald's afterwards, where a drunk whore threatened to stab me.

So... I saw it last night, and I am not gonna lie. I had naughty dreams about this character:
Yep... seriously. Also, I enjoyed the leather getup:
Serious question: ebado do you have connections in the film industry? Didn't you see an advanced screening of Star Trek as well? Pray tell.

Lol...you know, my first thought during and after was not - suprisingly enough - "damn! I need to get a picture of this on my phone, or the guys on the internet are never going to believe me!"
My bad.
Your just going to have to trust Jensen. Or not.

I wasn't the one with Star Trek, but I get media passes for advance screenings frequently because of my work. This actually wasn't one of those times (my friend had some extras), but I normally get one or two a week.
