**Did the Baron have a weird little mutant monster like from the Goonies running around his house, that isn't really explained for you guys? He apparently won it in a card game? WTF was that?

Yeah that was strange. I searched for about 15 minutes around the Baron's estate looking for him but he was nowhere. I searched around a bit on the web seeing what it was about and apparently he shows up again in the story when you go to Skellige

Apparently I fucked up/bugged the quest to meet Letho :-/

A friend of mine had the same problem. I'm guessing it's a bug with the import system.

Knowing these spoilers makes the choice for the

spirit a bit harder. But I think I would have saved it if I didn't know what would happen. So that's what I'll do.

Im going for a more or less completionist playthrough, so running around Velen doing bounty quests that are finally at my level before I head to Novigrad. I went back to Crow's Perch and the baron's men are wilding out on the town, raping and robbing the peasants.

The fucked up repercussions continue.

Chicken posted the spirit's story a page or two back. The spirit bound under the tree is actually their mother, who had gone insane

Restarted my game because I really wanted to do that Letho quest, but nope, still bugged. Really fucking annoyed.

The Letho quest, while cool, isn't worth restarting for tbh. It's pretty short. You can send him back to the witcher school though so he might play a part later if you do (I don't know anything, but because you can send people back there and because it's on the map makes me think it's going to play a part later in the game).

Ah, missed that.

Also I take back what I said about igni. It's my mainstay tool now. It murders everything. Puts entire groups on fire easily, does a lot of damage to big monsters while keeping me at a relatively safe range. Wearing the full enhanced Griffin set which improves sign intensity, which helps.

Also the secondary quen sign is amazing. It allows you to heal up by letting enemies hit you while you cast it. Barely use any healing items anymore.

The alchemist near the northernmost noticeboard in Novigrad also sells one. Just bought it. Had 14k to spare. Geralt Jewitcher.

There really needs to be an option to murder your Gwent opponent if they have more than 3 hero cards

I don't think I've lost a match since I beat Stepjan. And since then I only kept getting hero cards. At the moment I have both the Ciri and Geralt cards, which have 15 power. It's pretty ridiculous.

My deck, more or less:
Clear weather Foltest
2 spies.
2 Horns.
1 of each weather effect.
Hero cards
lots of artillery
Couple of blue stripes dudes
Couple of Dragon reaver dudes.
highest power dudes I had left over without going over the 22 unit cap.

Just keep removing the lowest power dudes as you get better cards, they don't really serve any purpose.

I've beaten like 20 people and the only hero card I've gotten is Yennefer who is shit for a hero card.

Also is there a faster way of applying oils to my weapons without having to open the inventory every time? It's kind of tedious

Yennefer is amazing. Uwot.
Also hero cards come from the players you play within the quests.

I have Yennefer and Roche. I use a siege heavy northern deck and destroy everything.

I found Vernon Roche and Vess. They didn't have a quest, but it seems like that could be because I sided with Ioreveth or I''m not far enough in the game.
