I wasn't paying attention to the objectives in that Haven mission and basically let everyone except the last person die before I realised what was going on.

You just get new characters who do the same jobs. No diff.

Does the multiplayer group you up with players of similar level or am I going to be getting kicked because I'm playing a level 1?

Not noticeably. There are different difficulties so you'll generally see low levels in the easiest one (and those are the only ones I've beaten).

I wasn't kicked for being a level 1 but I wasn't a level 1 for very long. The first 10 levels or so are very quick. You'll be 5 or 6 after your first run through.

It's alright, I don't like people talking at me though. Definitely prefer being able to craft new classes than the RNG shit that ME3 had.

I also enjoy my Keeper shit talking the Templars.

The Dawn Will Come totally sounded like Pippin's song.

Also I can't have been the only one who only realized in Skyhold that Harding is a dwarf. What the hell.

Got past the parts that gave me the most difficulty on hard on Nightmare.

Fighting those Terror Demons with their AoE Teleport stun is the worst. 3 of them with adds is ridiculous.

Am I actually supposed to dodge stuff? Enemies have these long telegraphing attacks, but because the attack recovery time is so slow and attacks root me in place I can't dodge anything anyway.(Playing sword and shield warrior) Also I wish I could get some knockdown protection, I'm supposed to be tanking but am lying on my ass most fights. And indeed those terror demons are the worst. Am I doing something wrong? It's kind of bothering me.

When they telegraph its a good time to throw up shield wall. You can spec into Combat roll If you want I think, but dodging without it is going to be a pain.

I think sword and board has a 'prepare for incoming attack' ability (Edit: I guess it's called Shield Wall, fkn grel). Rogue has Parry, but I mainly just used my Shadowstep ability to teleport to the other side of the dragon in those moments where he's all, "I'm lifting my leg! Still lifting! Lil more lift!!"

I finished. I'm still kind of bummed that Corypheus was a DLC villain from DA2 (this took me ages to figure out; I had no idea if I'd just forgotten him or what - I never played his DLC).

I didn't finish Dorian's companion stuff and it's annoying me.

EDIT:

You guys may or may not know this, but when a Rift is about to spawn enemies, you can dispel the spots where the enemies would show up and instantly kill them before they spawn. It helps later on in the game if you don't feel like dealing with 3 despair and a pride demon

Well, that explains things, I skipped that ability. They should just have added a block/dodge button imo.

Started a romance with Josephine, she seemed like a good fit for a human noble. It's very cute.
A bit disappointed when I found out Dorian is gay, was planning to romance him with another character. They just had to make the flamboyant guy with a great moustache gay, right? Oh well, might just go for it with a guy eventually.

Gromm confirmed for gay.

Minor ball spoilers
I'm playing a save with the Warden married to Anora and having romanced Lels, so when Lels was introduced they refered to her in part as mistress to the prince-consort of Ferelden, when I found funny.

More ball stuff
There's a way to force Briala, Gaspard and Celene to work together. You have to ration your halla statues though, since there aren't enough to open every door. If you save them, you can open a door in the royal wing to get evidence to blackmail Celene and force the three of them to truce. Interesting outcome.

Also my first playthrough I had to kill Florianne, but it led to one of the best moments where you had to judge her body in a box. I kept her alive this time and made her the Inquisition jester. Max pizzazz.

Cullen's basically a crack head. I've always liked the Templars are just drug addicts angle.
The voice acting for the player characters is just OK. Hawke (either gender but especially FemHawkeAgentFoggy) just blows the four options out of the water.

Companions have some good ones. Dorian, Viv and Varric have top tier voices. Cassandra's is OK when the actress isn't trying to enunciate so clearly. All the advisers have good voices.

Spirit Blade for Knight Enchanters makes controlling them a bit wonky. You can hold it down and it will continue to attack, so that's fine, but I kind of wish it was a buff that just turned your normal attack into the spirit blade attack and you could toggle it off. The spec is so OP. With Primal as the main tree static cage + spirit blade just melts people and offers great control.

I had to respec Blackwall to get rid of his pull though. It doesn't play nice with static cage.

Does pull mess with the rift mage ability? I think pano told me it was similar.

I keep forgetting to mention this, but I love their new take on Ferelden. In Origins Ferelden just looked like such a boring, generic shithole. But this game made Ferelden interesting through its aesthetics alone.

+1
