Re: Dargon Age 3
Got an email about DA: Keep.
That shit sucks, the interface is clunkier than a junkyard droid. It's all style over functionality.
How hard is it to make a save game generator? Geez.

I'm playing. There appears to be some kind of bug for me that like 30% of the time when I get an achievement in Origin, the popup completely fucks up the display, turns everything into shades of pink/purple. Really annoying.
If you make a male inquisitor, make sure you use the British voice. You can't really tell from the samples, but the American voice can be pretty shitty, it's just really flat I guess? There's just not a whole lot of emotion put into the lines. The British voice is a lot more expressive.
I also get the feeling I'll be doing the intro a lot from constant rerolling. Mage is pretty exciting, though.

I think it was because I adjusted some graphics settings and continued playing without restarting the client, it hasn't done it since I restarted anywayJensenBakura wrote:To bad you don't have a PS4.Pewps wrote:I'm playing. I'm not having that bug, pewps.
Movement is taking me a while to get used to, with the characters having something resembling weight. It's a little weird.
also when I click on something to attack, I wish they'd actually move to attack instead of the weird stationary attack they're doing now.

I don't care for the way you have to "search" for items. I much preferred just holding down tab and having everything appear on screen. Looting in general feels time-consuming. Unlike DA:O and DA2 where it's an instantaneous interaction, they put an animation to it, which I foresee becoming annoying in a 90+ hour game.isgrelindisguise wrote:I'm not having that bug, pewps.

Re: Dargon Age 3
Once I figure out how, I'm respeccing out of melee rogue into an archer. I feel too squishy for the difficulty I'm playing on. Stealth is pretty much top tier for closing portals though.
In 6 hours of play time I have a handful of spoilery complaints that I won't share but the game world is stunning and every five feet there's a codex entry. Orelsians and their masks though, they look really good.
The complaint I will share is that enemies dont scale with level, so if you go exploring in the starting zone and you go too far from the starting point, you're going to run across enemies that are 3x levels high than you even though they look the same as enemies you'd already fought. It is annoying.

In New Haven, the blacksmith Harret, I think is his name, sells an amulet. When you equip it it destroys itself, but gives you a respec. The first one you buy is only 1 gold, but after that they're like 350+ gold or something.isgrelindisguise wrote:Once I figure out how, I'm respeccing out of melee rogue into an archer. So, how does the whole Hawke thing work? Since s/he appears I assume I can't use a Hawke with a modded appearance.(But I need that make-up!)

Nvidia just released new drivers for Inquisition if you're using an Nvidia card
Also, I've not seen anything of the Warden yet, just a few mentions

Re: Dargon Age 3
I don't know.
I am getting the game today. It is on a truck somewhere. The UPS man has a vendetta against my dog, so he always comes to my neighborhood last.
I probs won't play much today or this week because I'm trying to finish up the school semester. Although I hope to hit it for a few hours.
How buggy is it, besides pewps crashing? Anyone else playing it on console?

The problem I had happened twice in the first 30 minutes I played it and it hasn't happened since and I've probably got like 8 hours now. Outside of that, I haven't had any bugs.fallenchicken wrote:How buggy is it, besides pewps crashing? Anyone else playing it on console?
Also as a pro-tip for anyone, when you're at the war table doing those missions, don't automatically choose the person with the fastest time, make sure you read what Leliana's/Cullen's/Ambassador's card says. I sent Cullen on a diplomatic mission to the Dalish without reading his card, because he had the fastest completion time and he went in with an armored escort and the Dalish attacked him and he killed a bunch of them.
