I didnt see the tentacle gods but we did have a day where fires were starting up all around us. We were trying to protect a rural community and it was like everyone's backyard had a separate fire in it. We ended up being ordered to pull out and let the water bombers strafe the area a few times before we went back in to attack it without getting ourselves into a shitstorm. But then they came back for another run and our crew and a tanker got water bombed. Thankfully it spreads out like a blanket of rain when its released so no one got hurt

Im home now, we had two platoon show up with 36 guys to relieve us. Used an infrared sauna today to remove all those gross toxins. Felt so clean after. It was amazing.
