Well I've never been to Kansas so I have no basis for comparison. Are there a lot of politicians and roundabouts in Kansas? We don't get tornadoes here so I don't know what he's talking about.

I'd take his opinions on Canberra with a grain of salt, being that he's one of these hipster Melbournians.

This kid just uploaded a video tour of the town I lived in briefly, back before I'd even entered High School (feeling old ). It seriously has not changed, aside from the General Store closing.
