Re: dare debil
Only three episodes in myself.
I'm honestly not loving it. Thought the second episode was pretty bad. They need to make his law partner less stupid.
Bowling alley fight was pretty sick though.

Re: dare debil
I'm three episodes in and actually really enjoying it. Maybe because I had no expectations. The friend is a little much but the cast outside him is great. I love how rated R the violence is--surprising for a Marvel thing and fitting for Daredevil. My only problem is I wish it was set sometime in the 70s/80s because grimy, crime-ridden Hell's Kitchen does not exist anymore and the gentrified new york is tough to reconcile with the noir feeling the show is going for.
The first episode isn't great but the second and third episode really won me over.

There were vague references to the Avengers battle in New York that is supposed to explain crime-y Hells Kitchen, I think.
I like black reporter guy. I agree wit chicky, the action is pretty cool. Flips n junk.

I'm not really interested in Daredevil but I can respect any action sequence that doesn't use shaky-cam and constant cuts

Re: dare debil
that scene is insane. It caught me so off guard--I guess because I didn't know what this show was going to be. I was flipping out. They're firing at the True Detective tracking shot.
That shit is Oldboy-esque. Worth watching the show for the amazing fight scenes if nothing else.

I'm also three episodes in. I didn't know what this show was going to be like but it seems just a tad serious. I guess the partner is supposed to lighten things up? Even dark shows need a little levity.
Otherwise it's fine.

Just watched ep 4. Don't know the actor's name who plays Fisk but he's terrific.
Yeah, I get that the partner is supposed to lighten things up--prince Hal needs a Falstaff--but he just comes on a little strong. He's a blast of comedic relief in your face.

Finished show. It is OK. Better than Shield or Gotham.

I finished it too. I wish they'd do a second season instead of the other butt superheros they are planning on doing.

Batman vs Superman looks kinda weird.Sobchak wrote:Are all of DC's movies about to be garbage?
EDIT: Like is Batman the antagonist? Is it like The Dark Knight Returns but their roles are switcheroo'd? I still think Affleck will do good, despite haters. I like the suit.

Why are people worried about Affleck and not the dude who was already in a terrible movie as Supes?

I didn't hate that guy but Man of Steel was doodoo. Like what was with that extended scene where he fights the giant gravity squid robot? And all the fights with Zod were like imma fly into you real hard, nope imma fly into YOU real hard. Cmon guys, we can do better.
Best part of the movie was Rusty Crizzle. (Edit and the guy from SVU)

Re: dare debil
People bitched about Ledger being the Joker. But Ledger had Nolan, and Affleck has Zack Snyder.
I think Lex Luthor/Zuckerberg is still the bad guy in Batman v Superman. Their fighting will be the first half of the movie.

Re: dare debil
The bar just isn't that high. You have a supermodel as Wonder Woman and a guy who was already bad as Supes. The standard right now is Khal Drogo as Aquaman. Why is Affleck the issue? He could be a travesty and still be the best part of the movie.

I wish live action Superman would be more like the cartoon Superman. He was so bland as a character in Man of Steel.

Also while we're talking about other superheroes, the new Fantastic Four movie looks like pure trash and Sony is fucking retarded. They have in their hands one of the greatest Marvel villains/heroes and they just shit all over him. If they wanted to make a good movie, they'd completely ignore the Fantastic Four, who no one really gives a shit about in the first place, and make a Dr. Doom origin story and introduce him as a sympathetic villain and depict Reed Richards as the cockgobbler that he really is.

I don't get why people are upset about Batfleck but seem ok with Jesse Eisenburg as Lex Luthor? Blerch.
I got no complaints about Fat Cavill as Superman, it's not his fault DC films* are rubbish.
*Just clarifying, Live Action films be rubbish.
I finally binge watched the 2 whole seasons of Young Justice (NIGHTWING!) during the last month of pregnancy. I wish they'd make more of that than another LA film tbh. Or more stuff like Flashpoint Paradox.
Oh and I really enjoyed Dare Devil.
