At first I was confused at why they chose Tormund over Mance (as the plan was probably to have him in that scene)--but I think it was the right decision. Tormund and Jon have good chemistry and an established history on the show.

Yeah I thought for sure Wu Wu was boned--I was thinking it would be cheaper to kill him then let him live. But no. Don't fuck with Wu Wu.

Yeah, felt the final 30 minutes of this episode were far and away the best of the season. You knew shit was going down when the lady was telling her kids goodbye, but wasn't expecting it to be as great as it was. That from this

I guess we know where all dorn'es money went. One of the best episodes of the series I think. Not just because of an epic battle sequence, but it also pushed the story forward and had satisfying narrative heft. The Jon Snow reformation project took a big step. He's like a legit fun character now.

that dorne gif is somehow gaining comedy.

Even Tyrodorf can't stop Dinero from being awful.

Not sure why so many people think it's great. A mediocre battle scene doesn't suddenly make it one of the best episodes of the show.

Also I don't have a place where I can bitch properly at this show. On the asoiaf reddit they are total fanboys. On the westeros forums they are complete idiots who complain about things even I don't complain about(also filthy SJWs) It's rather inconvenient for me.

Battle sequence was good all-around, but benefits from the fact it involves White Walkers. They're always the most compelling part of an episode, and in a season completely bereft of compelling storylines this really stood out. That the sword and Valyrian Steel can do that seemed really cool (if predictable). Kind of give Jon and the other Valyrian-steel wielding characters a lightsaber.

That Dorne gif is goofy because I can't even tell if the girl on the right is any older than 8 years old.

The sequence at Hardhome has to be my favourite GoT "battle" to date. The way it started with that slow avalanche and just built from there, the tension growing by the minute. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I thought the conversation between Tyrion and Dany might be significant. In him saying that she will have no support when she comes to Westeros. I think, after seeing Hardhome, people will be falling at her feet if she swoops in with dragons to lay waste to an undead horde. The people of Westeros seem fickle enough to forget how much they hated her Dad.
