Came in here just to say that that lightsaber looks fucking stupid. A crossguard is designed to catch blades, but the exact part that will catch the blade in this design isn't even made out of energy. So every time you a catch a blade with that lightsaber it just gets cut off. FKN STOOPID

I hope at one point that dude locks blades with some minor character and pokes his eyes out with the crossguard, and the cinema's like, "Ohhh, now I get it!"

i didn't even notice this at first. But you're right, if that guy's opponents blades are as thin as his, that guard isn't going to do anything.

Well, it woke me up. Good trailer, X wing skim the highlight.

I like the look of the new big 3, but hope the scavenger babe is a) the force sensitive and b) related to the old guys. Looks a little like Shmi.

I just hope JJ is reined in by everyone: don't want too much shaky cam.

I think It's all but confirmed Daisy is force sensitive. She was filming with Hamil in some pretty remote areas without the rest of the cast. I interpret as jedi training.

imgur started yelling at me about the lightsaber cross-guard thing, but mut a couple of points that seem reasonable while my coffee is sitting untouched. 1) the hilt could be a lightsaber resistant material, assuming those still exist in this version of the universe, and 2) apparently there's a rumor that it isn't actually a functional cross-guard, just that sith can't control his shit so the two extensions act like vents.
