Game is playable, just not really worth playing at the moment. texture popping is bad and even when they're there, the textures aren't very good. Shadows and lighting are shit. Rain is pretty awesome though, especially with the nvidia special rain. There are some pretty cool improvements to combat both in terms of batman and generic enemies. So far bat mobile is pretty much boring garbage though. It's combat is very unbatmany and it gets the hardest hit by performance issues.

Shadow of mordor is pretty badass though.

I wish this would stop a bunch of the "PREORDERING IMMEDIATELY" and "DAY 1 HYPE" crowd, especially on PC, but video game communities love their weird tribalism so whatever.

They released a patch and it improved some things. Texture popping is still terrible though. There's a brief doc where you play as Harley and while it's not great, fightin with her is pretty entertaining. Her detective mode stand in is great.

I don't know how many months it's been, but they released a mega-patch today. I can finally play the game that came out three months ago that I pre-ordered 3 months in advance.

And I'm super excited about it.

Well I beat it. It was fine when you weren't in the car. It's a shame that 40% of the game is being in the car.


The good:

- Medics make predator situations more fun and interesting.
- I didn't resent Barbara Gordon for not being Cass Cain.
- Set design is still excellent.
- Two-Face side missions.

The Bad:

- The car. Fuck the car.
- The Arkham Knight - super obnoxious, not very interesting. 2 super shitty vehicle based boss fights.
- Scarecrow can't hold his own as a Mastermind.
- No Challenge maps at the moment. I want to do predator stuff with Azrael and Nightwing.

yeah I call it Batman: Hotwheels. The story was pretty lame this time around, but the use of the joker was brilliant. A lot of the side missions were pretty boring but I loved the serial killer quest series. Riddler car challenges were actually kind of fun. Two-Face side missions were fun. I don't know why Two-Face wasn't a bigger part of the game.
