What are you playing this week?
Been on a Fallout New Vegas binge.
Sigmo and I were playing a bit of Dungeons of the Endless too, which is pretty good, but the Multiplayer needs some serious patching.

Re: What are you playing this week?
I've been playing some Warband. Shield OP so I play JAPAN mod. I tried playing the Anno Domini mod but again shields OP. I think it's worse in that mod because everybody is carrying a medium sized shield that acts like a tower shield. Sucks because that mod has MOUNTED TOURNAMENTS.
Other than that I've been occasionally logging on to SWTOR to see what new exploit BioWare came up with to ruin the economy. And a lil Long Dark.

Re: What are you playing this week?
Story was crap but I knew it would be crap. Only one story that both factions share which is dumb. The one class quest everybody gets is 5 minutes long and from the three I bothered with only one was somewhat compelling. The inquisitor one was one of the dumbest things ever. Overall it has significantly less content than RotHC. No sidequests to speak of other than new datacrons.
Quest wise there are no quests that are that compelling. RotHC had some gems hidden in places but there's literally nothing good. Yavin IV is basically one quest, some dailies and then a weekly. Every quest on Yavin IV is a daily or weekly in some form. Very boring.
The solo version of the final boss battle is a weekly. You go in every week and basically AFK the final boss battle.
The solo flashpoints for the storyline are AFKable, too. They are the easiest content in the game. Even easier than killing those slugs in the starting area on Korriban. All you have to do is walk through and an OP droid companion kills everything. I feel like I can't oversell how little you need to do.
The normal versions of the two flashpoints (and I assume eventual hard mode versions) have some fights that are fun and if your group isn't level 60 they can sometimes be challenging. One has way too much useless trash, the other very little trash but very long hallways.
The patch reintroduced a gross amount of ability delay. If you were on one of the new planets the first few days you would have at least a second of ability delay at any time and it could be much worse depending on the time and how populated the instance was. They made it better the first week but ability delay persisted for six weeks. It seemed like a 50/50 chance whether you would get it. They added some debuff tracking to the UI and it caused FPS drops for a lot of people. It's somewhat better now but still there. Additionally there was some good ol' fashioned lag.
There was a bug with bolster for PvP where ship parts factored into your bolster. I'm not shitting you. I still don't believe it. If you had ship parts equipped you got like +2k HP and some power. It was like having an extra piece of gear. Lasted six weeks.
Also this is a recent patch note: "It is no longer possible to loot or complete the Weekly Mission for the final boss of The Ravagers without completing the Operation."
Yes, you could loot the final boss of the operation without completing it. You would kill the boss, drop group before looting and then go back in an everybody would loot individually. Then you would get your alt invited to the group, made leader and go in and get all the loot on that character and too. And so on and so on. If you had the hard mode lockout you could do it twice. It destroyed endgame crafting as the boss dropped the rare crafting mat as well and people are overloaded with them. Everybody has multiple sets of BIS gear.
Only one guild had the hard mode lockout. They sold it to other guilds on their server, and then eventually people transferred it to other servers. The originating guild are friends with Eric Musco, the community manager, from pre-launch when he didn't work with BioWare and did a podcast instead. AFAIK there's been no severe bans despite BioWare threatening it.
After all that, last Tuesday when they fixed all this, they introduced this slot machine you can put in your house. They came in the cartel packs but there are plenty to buy off the trade network. It can drop a number of things, but most importantly it can drop a token for purple crafting mats from the latest crew skill missions. It's significantly cheaper and faster than acquiring them through crew skills. If you spend 100k on the machine you will get back on average 60k back in credits (by selling to a vendor the reputation items that also drop ) and another 20k in tokens to put back in the machine. Purple mats that coast 60k or 70k a week ago cost 5k to 8k now. Mission skills are absolutely useless.
I think that's it. Overall I think it's been the worst time to play the game other than the few months between everybody quitting and server mergers.
The selfhealing for madness sin is pretty cool though.

Subbed to WoW again, hit level 100 in Spires of Arak. Anticlimactic much?
Been paying a ton of Payday 2. Robbing stuff and you can just play a short match whenever you're bored, it's great.

There's a F2P game on Steam called Gear Up where you control a cute tank and you shoot other people controlling cute tanks. I've had some fun on it. The default tank is pretty good and I'm pretty sure I've just got worse by upgrading it.

Re: What are you playing this week?
I stopped playing WoW again. Hit 100, did a bit of the legendary questline, the Garrison campaign, a bit of Highmaul, a few dungeons. And that's it because there isn't anything else to do and it's fucking boring.
