I went and saw it today
Probably the weakest of all Tolkien movies. Too much CGI, didn't have very good pacing, the forced romance with the elf and the dorf was annoying. She knew him for like 2 weeks and she's going to try and say she's in love with him? C'moooooooon
The only highlight is that Legolas' dad is a fucking badass and wrecks shit for like 20 minutes and he rides around on a fucking MOOSE

I haven't seen the 3rd Hobbit yet but I find it hard to believe that the second movie isn't the weakest.

Pros: Thranduil is a boss. Dorfs everywhere. Mount game is out of control.
Cons: It's not a good a movie. So bloated. This trilogy is dumb.

My positives.
-Elf Clone Trooper armour looked surprisingly practical despite being a fantasy design.(Well, except for the helmets, helmets are designed to redirect blows away from your face, not to your face, no wonder they're almost extinct.)
-Martin Freeman is a good Bilbo.
-I liked how Azog's stupid sword design was what stopped him from killing Thorin right away. But this was probably not intentional.
I am thinking really hard, but I can't think of more.
